Covers the mobile app, the Chrome extension, and the Telegram bot — they share one account and one API. Written to meet GDPR — the GDPR compliance page has the legal detail. See the Terms of Use for the rules of using the service.
We collect the minimum needed to run the app and keep your progress. Each row below is a lawful basis under GDPR: account and settings data is necessary to perform our contract with you; billing events are necessary for our legitimate interest in fraud prevention and legal compliance.

| Scores, transcripts, flagged sounds, per-sound stats | Our database (EU) | Clear my history, or account deletion |
| Settings (accent, playback speed, auto-stop, noise suppression, theme) | Our database (EU) | Account deletion |
| Daily-limit counter (date, takes used) | Our database (EU) | Account deletion |

A recording is scored and discarded. It exists only in a processing queue's memory for as long as scoring takes — at most about 3 minutes, after which an unscored take is marked as failed and the audio is gone.
Turning on history, or tapping "save to history" on a take, stores that recording in object storage in the EU (Hetzner, Finland region). It's reachable only by you, through a link that expires after 1 hour, and is deleted according to the retention limits in section 4 below — sooner if you clear your history.
Turn history off entirely and we stop saving scores, transcripts, and statistics as well — only the recording-then-discard flow runs.
We do not keep your data indefinitely. Everything in section 1 is deleted when you clear your history or delete your account, and we also apply these limits on our own:
Live only in memory for the length of scoring — 3 minutes at most — then gone.
Kept until you clear your history, delete your account, or your account is deleted for inactivity below.
Kept until you clear your history or delete your account.
Kept 90 days, then deleted automatically.
If an account has had no activity for 24 consecutive months, we may email you a warning and, absent a response within 30 days, delete the account and everything tied to it under section 1. You can prevent this simply by signing in.
All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted with TLS.
Passwords are stored as hashes, never in plain text; saved recordings sit in access-controlled storage reachable only through short-lived signed links.
If a breach affects your data, we will notify you in the app and by email within 72 hours of discovering it.
If you're in the EU or UK, you can ask us to:
Reach us at the address below for any of these. If you're unhappy with how we've handled a request, you can complain to your local data protection authority — see the GDPR compliance page for how and where.
Settings → Clear my history removes your saved takes, sound statistics, and streak, including any saved recordings, straight away. Your account itself stays active.
Email us from your registered address with the subject "Account deletion." We remove your account, credentials, history, saved recordings, settings, and subscription links within 30 days and confirm by email. Support correspondence is kept separately for up to 12 months for quality and legal purposes.
HolosAccent is not intended for children under 16 — or under the lower age your country sets for information-society services, where it sets one — and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child holds an account, write to support@holosaccent.com and we will delete it.
Material changes are announced in the app before they take effect. The date at the bottom of this page always reflects the version in force.
